We need you to help the Marketing Project - and it's so easy to get started! Have a look at the Quick and Easy Marketing Activities list on the Wiki. Go on, do it now!

Find out Why OpenOffice.org?

You're convinced about the benefits of OpenOffice.org - but can you convince other people? Read up on Why OpenOffice.org? and understand the three key messages:

You can watch a video of Marketing Project Lead John McCreesh talking about Why OpenOffice.org at OOoCon 2006. If you are interested in marketing theory, you may be interested in reading our Strategic Marketing Plan.

Listen in to the Marketing Project at work

Marketing Project members blog frequently on OpenOffice.org news and issues. To save you hunting around the net, we bring all these together on the Marketing Project Planet. There are feeds available too, so there's no excuse for not keeping up to date with.

For day to day work, the Marketing Project works through its mailing lists, especially the Dev list. You don't have to be a registered member of OpenOffice.org to subscribe to our mailing lists, and subscribing doesn't commit you to anything (except receiving some interesting mail). If you are curious, interested, but not quite ready yet to take the plunge and join, we suggest you subscribe by sending a blank email to dev-subscribe@marketing.openoffice.org. You may of course unsubscribe at any time.

Join the Marketing Project

To join the Marketing Project, register with the OpenOffice.org community. Once you have registered, you are entitled to join the Marketing Project (or any other project), file issues, bugs, feature requests, or comment on already filed issues.

To register, go to the Join page and follow the instructions. We look forward to welcoming you as a Community member!

Do you prefer to work in a language other than English?

Maybe we have a MarCon who speaks your language, or contact the appropriate OpenOffice.org Native-Language Project.
