Call For Papers (CLOSED - The deadline was July 31, 2004!)

We are soliciting for papers from the broad OpenOffice.org community in the areas of European software politics, the Open Source movement, and corporate involvement in OpenOffice.org, as well as papers on Development, Localization and Marketing of OpenOffice.org. The conference will also include an exhibition space.

The conference will cover the following OpenOffice.org topics organized in two tracks:

General       Development
General Usage and Features   Software Development Kit
Business and Governemt   Standards (especially XML)
Marketing   Localization
The Community   Porting
Open Source   QA

 

Please submit an abstract of your suggested session via email to

callforpapers@openoffice.org

For all abstract submissions, the following information is required:

  • Session Title
  • Session Description (no longer than 250 words)
  • Targeted Audience
  • Proposed Track (e.g.: "Development - Filters" or "General - Marketing")
  • Preferred Session Type (Conference Session, Case Study, BOF)
  • Full Name
  • Email Address
  • URL of Home Page (if it should be listed in the program)
  • Job Title (if it should be listed in the program)
  • Company/Affiliation (if any)
  • Postal Address
  • Contact Telephone Number (for last minute issues, cell phone number preferred)
  • Short Biography (1 or 2 paragraphs)
  • Travel Subsidisation needed: (amount, if neeed)

As the OpenOffice.org Community consists of members from countries all over the world the talk should be in English.

Your proposal must be sent before end of July 2004

in order to be considered for inclusion in the Conference.
