The third OpenOffice.org Conference will be kept in Koper-Capodistria from the 28 to the 30 september, organized from the communities of the Italian and Slovenian OpenOffice.org linguistic projects , under the auspices of the Region Friuli Venezia Giulia, the province of Trieste, the Municipality of Trieste, the Slovenian Ministry for the High Education, Science and Technology, the Municipality of Koper-Capodistria, and with the collaboration of the Linux User Group Trieste, the Linux User Group Slovenia, the Italian Union and the Community of the Italians of Capodistria Santorio-Santorio, the Theatre of Capodistria, Primorska University and Faculty of Pedagogy, Cyberpipe and Youthful and Culture Center of Koper-Capodistria.

The Press conference will be an occasion for discussing about the free software situation in Europe along with the state of the OpenOffice.org suite, in a moment in which there are always more companies and agencies that they announce of wanting to abandon the proprietary solutions in favor of free software solutions.
